A house in London reportedly worth $1.5 million and allegedly belonging to Senator Stella Oduah has been uncovered.
According to Sahara Reporters, the former minister of aviation bought the house in 2012 and in an effort to avoid detection disguised it as a foreign-registered company.
.
According to the report, the senator used ADRIATIC LAND 4 LIMITED which is incorporated in Guernsey in the United Kingdom, for the purchase.
.
She reportedly gave the address of the company, with registration No. 56274, as Mont Crevelt House, Bulwer Avenue, St. Sampson, Guernsey, GY2 4LH.
.
The minister’s over as owner of the house was blown as she reportedly engaged Daniel Ford and Company Ltd for the purpose of renting out the house.
According to Sahar Reporters,“when Daniel Ford and Company Ltd. rented out Mrs. Oduah’s London home, she identified herself as the owner of the property, thereby removing the veil of ownership she had imposed by the nature of its discreet registration.”
Meanwhile, Mrs Oduah who was an aspirant in the forthcoming governorship election in Anambra, had threatened withdrawal from the race, alleging irregularities in Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) build-up to the primary election.
Oduah made this known while briefing newsmen on Friday in Abuja.
She said that the Ward congress of the party held on Wednesday to elect three delegates per ward was fraught with “irregularities and sabotage’’.
