A veteran journalist, Dele Momodu has claimed that former President Olusegun Obasanjo and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, fell out because of Obasanjo’s planned third-term bid. Momodu, who is the Publisher of Ovation Magazine, also said that Obasanjo had to disarm Atiku by sacking most of his ‘vibrant’ aides. Mododu, a former presidential aspirant, described Atiku as one of the most power Vice President ever in Nigeria. He tweeted, “Atiku was one of the most powerful VPs ever in Nigeria, I was not too young at the time, they fell out over re-election. “His team in Aso Rock was young and remarkably vibrant and OBJ had to sack some of them on his behalf but ATIKU remained close to them from outside."

Police in Uganda have arrested two men after they apprehended with bodies of roasted babies. The men at different times reportedly abducted the babies, roasted them and were to used them for ritual purposes. Twitter user @solomonkibs73 who shared the photos of the men online, wrote ''Men caught with dried babies Wrapped with different clothes And ropes. All you are seeing here on the floor are dried babies,his girlfriend leads the police to his arrest when their one month old baby suddenly got missing''.

Davido Is Already Planning To Retire From Music

Even though he is still a very young man, famous Nigerian singer, Davido is currently planning to retire from actively doing music very soon. Davido who was born in 1992, is just 25 years old but has achieved quite a whole lot in his life. Boko Haram: 2 teenagers killed in failed Borno suicide attack

Two female suicide bombers were killed on Wednesday morning while attempting to attack a mosque in Borno State, North-east Nigeria. Mr Damian Chukwu, the Commissioner of Police in the state, confirmed this in a statement personally signed. Chukwu disclosed that the attackers tried to gain entry into the Alhaji Bunu’s Mosque during the morning prayers in Jiddari Polo general area on the outskirts of Maiduguri, the state capital. He added that the bombers who were between the ages of 13 and 16 were, however, prevented by the policemen on patrol and unarmed vigilante men also praying in the same mosque. “In the ensuing stampede, both bombers ran into an uncompleted building in the neighbourhoods, collided and simultaneously exploded, killing only themselves,” he said. The police commissioner noted that normalcy has been restored in the area and the remains of the girls have been evacuated. He said the police and the EOD team deployed have sanitized and rendered the area safe.

The President of the Association of Psychiatrists in Nigeria (APN), Dr Taiwo Sheikh, says according to a recent study, 85% of mad people in Nigeria are youths within the age bracket of 18-38. The psychiatrist in a recent interview with Daily Independent, said the major cause of mental challenge in Nigeria has gone beyond drug abuse as the youths now inhale lizard faeces as well to get high. According to him, [i]"Our young men are sniffing lizard faeces, they are putting their noses into pit toilets to inhale things from there and they are also smoking match sticks. It is now beyond the abuse of drugs sold in pharmacies.
